Ethics Committee for the Protection of Animals - CETA is an independent body of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Milan, established on 20 July 2009.

The CETA has as its purpose:

the protection of the dignity, integrity and well-being of the animals involved in research, in teaching, in clinical and zootechnical activities;the promotion of a culture of respect for animals;the promotion of a correct human-animal-environment relationship.

CETA works in full harmony with the Ethics Committee of the University of Milan, with only consultative and propositional functions.

Dear Student, the document introduces: to the presence of animals in the courses of study; to the plurality of thought on the relationship between man and animals; to the recent philosophical thought on animals and society.
